CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
via_wdt: fix critical boot hang due to unnamed resource allocation
The VIA watchdog driver uses allocate_resource() to reserve a MMIO
region for the watchdog control register. However, the allocated
resource was not given a name, which causes the kernel resource tree
to contain an entry marked as "<BAD>" under /proc/iomem on x86
platforms.
During boot, this unnamed resource can lead to a critical hang because
subsequent resource lookups and conflict checks fail to handle the
invalid entry properly. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: ucsi: Handle incorrect num_connectors capability
The UCSI spec states that the num_connectors field is 7 bits, and the
8th bit is reserved and should be set to zero.
Some buggy FW has been known to set this bit, and it can lead to a
system not booting.
Flag that the FW is not behaving correctly, and auto-fix the value
so that the system boots correctly.
Found on Lenovo P1 G8 during Linux enablement program. The FW will
be fixed, but seemed worth addressing in case it hit platforms that
aren't officially Linux supported. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: usb: asix: validate PHY address before use
The ASIX driver reads the PHY address from the USB device via
asix_read_phy_addr(). A malicious or faulty device can return an
invalid address (>= PHY_MAX_ADDR), which causes a warning in
mdiobus_get_phy():
addr 207 out of range
WARNING: drivers/net/phy/mdio_bus.c:76
Validate the PHY address in asix_read_phy_addr() and remove the
now-redundant check in ax88172a.c. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tpm: Cap the number of PCR banks
tpm2_get_pcr_allocation() does not cap any upper limit for the number of
banks. Cap the limit to eight banks so that out of bounds values coming
from external I/O cause on only limited harm. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fsnotify: do not generate ACCESS/MODIFY events on child for special files
inotify/fanotify do not allow users with no read access to a file to
subscribe to events (e.g. IN_ACCESS/IN_MODIFY), but they do allow the
same user to subscribe for watching events on children when the user
has access to the parent directory (e.g. /dev).
Users with no read access to a file but with read access to its parent
directory can still stat the file and see if it was accessed/modified
via atime/mtime change.
The same is not true for special files (e.g. /dev/null). Users will not
generally observe atime/mtime changes when other users read/write to
special files, only when someone sets atime/mtime via utimensat().
Align fsnotify events with this stat behavior and do not generate
ACCESS/MODIFY events to parent watchers on read/write of special files.
The events are still generated to parent watchers on utimensat(). This
closes some side-channels that could be possibly used for information
exfiltration [1].

| Improper input validation in Desktop in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.84 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| A user can access any database details, such as usernames and passwords by sending a DWR request with a specified workflow rule. The authentication bypass vulnerability can be chained with this vulnerability to perform database reads without authentication. Database write and delete operations may also be possible, but this was untested. |
| MISP contains a vulnerability in the handling of module plugin settings. When the server rebuilds module-supplied settings for API consumption, it drops the redacted and cli_only flags that a module declares in its own configuration metadata.
As a result:
- A module that marks a setting (such as an API key) as redacted still has its value returned in full by the servers/getSetting and servers/serverSettingsEdit endpoints, exposing sensitive credentials to any authenticated user who can read server settings.
- A module that marks a setting as cli_only (intended to be editable only via the command-line interface) can still be modified through the web API, bypassing the intended access restriction.
An authenticated user with access to server settings can therefore read sensitive module credentials and modify settings that the module author intended to restrict to CLI-only access.
Affected: <2.5.48 |
| A vulnerability was found in ESPnet up to 202610.post2. This affects the function build_model of the file espnet3/publication/inference_model.py of the component Inference Model Handler. The manipulation of the argument _target_ results in deserialization. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is identified as f217b24f06de55e332cab10231469d5890dbbe00. It is best practice to apply a patch to resolve this issue. |
| A flaw was found in Submariner. This vulnerability allows a malicious cluster (spoke) to redirect network traffic from other connected clusters (peer clusters) by publishing a specially crafted network endpoint. The system fails to properly validate the network subnets provided by the malicious cluster, enabling it to declare arbitrary network ranges. Consequently, all network traffic intended for these arbitrary ranges from peer clusters will be rerouted through the attacker's tunnel, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure or network disruption. |
| A vulnerability was found in ai-genius-automations octoally up to 1.0.87. The impacted element is an unknown function of the file server/src/index.ts. Performing a manipulation of the argument path results in information disclosure. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. Upgrading to version 1.0.88 is sufficient to resolve this issue. The patch is named 3898085c4e701be21377ebd9e91e10b941e47168. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. |
| A vulnerability has been found in hankcs HanLP up to 2.1.0-beta.64. The affected element is the function load_word2vec_as_vocab_tensor of the file hanlp/utils/torch_util.py. The manipulation of the argument vectors.vocab leads to deserialization. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| A flaw was found in the `submariner-operator` component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes. This vulnerability allows a cluster administrator, or any user with permissions to modify the Submariner Custom Resource (CR), to specify an unvalidated image path. This lack of validation enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges across the entire cluster, including control-plane nodes, by deploying a malicious image. |
| Coder before 2.29.17, 2.30.0 before 2.32.7, 2.33.0 before 2.33.8, and 2.34.0 before 2.34.2 contains a user enumeration vulnerability because userpassword.Compare() substitutes a placeholder hash derived from the string "hunter2" when a stored password hash is empty. Unauthenticated attackers can submit logins with the password "hunter2" and distinguish HTTP 403 from 401 responses to enumerate valid accounts and reveal the authentication provider of SSO-only users. |

| In Eclipse Jetty, HttpClient may receive a redirect of the form:
```
/secure/../evil
```
If an attacker is able to control the redirects, then HttpClient matches authentication credentials against `/secure` rather than normalizing the path to `/evil`, and will therefore follow the redirect sending the `Authorization` header for `/secure` to `/evil`.
This also mean that the attacker must have an evil application deployed on the same domain as the target. |
| When Jetty's `HttpClient` make a request to a server through a forward proxy, the server may reply with a 407 (Proxy Authentication Required).
The client mistakenly interprets the 407 as coming from the proxy, so it re-sends the request with the `Proxy-Authentication` header, which arrives to the server, that now has access to the proxy credentials. |
| Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in Gantry Gantry 5 Framework gantry5 allows Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data. This issue affects Gantry 5 Framework: from n/a through 5.6.4. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfs: zero gaps in read-gaps folio to avoid writing back stale data
netfs_read_gaps() leaves gaps around a streaming write's dirty region
unread on the server side, so a short/EOF response there left stale
folio content that later got written back.
Zero it after the read completes, not before: netfs_wait_for_read()
returns rreq->transferred once ret >= 0, so build an iterator over the
same bvec array the read used, advance past ret, and zero the rest.
The dirty region already maps to sink pages in that array rather than
the real folio, so this can't touch it, and only the actual shortfall
gets zeroed instead of the whole gap upfront. |
