| A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. When the daemon is running in system mode with RDP enabled, the incoming connection handler bypasses the connection throttler, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to open many parallel pre-authentication connections to the RDP listener. This can accumulate accepted sockets and pending routing-token operations until timeout, exhausting resources and preventing legitimate users from establishing RDP sessions. This issue does not affect the upstream version. |
| A denial of service vulnerability exists when Microsoft Common Object Runtime Library improperly handles web requests. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause a denial of service against a .NET web application.
A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing specially crafted requests to the .NET application.
The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the .NET web application handles web requests. |
| A vulnerability was found in Eleveo Quality Management 9.7.0. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /enc-fwk-data/api/v3/conversations/<ID>/events of the component Conversation Handler. The manipulation of the argument labels results in denial of service. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability in the bulk port configuration functionality could allow an unauthenticated attacker to crash the service. |
| Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. From 2.5.0 until 2.6.0, the node-signature authentication path performs temporary file staging of an attacker-controlled request body and synchronizes it before validating the body digest and cryptographic signature. An unauthenticated remote client that can reach the API and provide syntactically valid signature metadata can consume temporary filesystem capacity, disk input and output, and request-processing resources before rejection. The issue affects availability and does not bypass authentication or provide confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.0. |
| Pre-authentication OIDC discovery and JWKS fetches run synchronously on the asyncio event loop, so one unauthenticated request stalls the whole service. |
| In Eclipse ioFog Controller versions 3.8.0 through 3.9.1, POST, PUT, and PATCH bodies on routes that enable template substitution are rendered by an uncapped Liquid engine before authentication and RBAC. The bearer check does not reject a missing or invalid token, and the auth rate limit applies only to user login routes. A small JSON body can stall or abort the Controller process. The anonymous caller does not receive the rendered result; the impact is availability of the control plane, including the agent API and in-process WebSocket relays on that process. |
| One logical thread of a user-mode ThreadX module costs the Module Manager's shared object pool two allocations, not one. The module asks for a `TX_THREAD` control block through `txm_module_object_allocate`; `_txm_module_manager_thread_create` then takes a second allocation of `TXM_MODULE_KERNEL_STACK_SIZE` bytes for the privileged kernel stack that thread's system calls run on, and records it in the control block. Both come from `_txm_module_manager_object_pool` and both are linked onto the module's allocation list.
The Module Manager's thread-delete dispatcher released only the first. The kernel stack stayed allocated until the whole module was stopped, so a module that creates, terminates and deletes threads in a loop — every state transition valid, every service returning `TX_SUCCESS` — removed a fixed block from a finite pool shared by the manager and by every other loaded module, on every cycle, for as long as it stayed loaded. Once the pool is exhausted, no memory-protected module can create any kernel object and no user-mode module thread can be created anywhere in the system.
Vulnerable function: `_txm_module_manager_tx_thread_delete_dispatch`, in `common_modules/module_manager/inc/txm_module_manager_dispatch.h`. |
| An unlimited gzip decompression routine in chttpd in Apache CouchDB 3.5.2 and below on all platforms allows any remote client to cause a denial of service via memory exhaustion.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.3, which fixes this issue. |
| ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 1.1.0 of db-connect and 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS, an account with view-draft access can submit a projection exclusion path that traverses through a constructor prototype chain to a shared prototype member when a consumer uses a SQLite, PostgreSQL, or multipostgres adapter and has a matching document. Every editing role has view-draft access, while guestApiAccess broadens this prerequisite to any logged-in account. The unsetNestedField helper then deletes the shared runtime member, causing persistent process-wide integrity and availability effects; the default MongoDB adapter is not affected. This issue is fixed in db-connect 1.1.0 and ApostropheCMS 4.33.0. |
| ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 3.7.1 of the import-export module, an authenticated importer can submit archives whose decompressed bytes, entry count, and entry sizes are not bounded before document-type authorization, and extraction or parsing failures can leave staging and extracted artifacts without unconditional cleanup. The already-hardened pre-authentication and write-error paths are separate, and current end-to-end denial-of-service impact from this residual path remains subject to maintainer validation. This issue is fixed in version 3.7.1. |
| ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Prior to 4.33.0 of ApostropheCMS and 3.7.0 of the import-export module, import routes invoke bigUploadMiddleware without an early authorize callback, allowing unauthenticated requests to perform upload initialization, chunk storage, temporary processing, and attacker-declared cleanup work before the later user check rejects the import. This issue is fixed in ApostropheCMS 4.33.0 and import-export 3.7.0. |
| Denial-of-service in the PDF Viewer component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158.0.1 and Thunderbird 158.0.1. |
| pupnp is an SDK for development of UPnP device and control point applications. Prior to 22.0.4, parse_hostport in upnp/src/genlib/net/uri/uri.c synchronously calls getaddrinfo while parse_uri is processing attacker-supplied hostnames from inbound HTTP request targets in upnp/src/genlib/net/http/httpparser.c and GENA SUBSCRIBE CALLBACK headers handled by create_url_list in upnp/src/gena/gena_device.c. A remote unauthenticated peer can choose a slow or nonresponsive hostname and block a bounded miniserver worker for the resolver timeout, allowing a small number of requests to exhaust the thread pool and deny UPnP service. This issue is fixed in 22.0.4. |
| ColdFusion is affected by an Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust system resources, resulting in an application denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: restrict SO_RESERVE_MEM to TCP sockets and cap max value
Commit 2bb2f5fb21b0 ("net: add new socket option SO_RESERVE_MEM") and
commit d00c8ee31729 ("net: fix possible NULL deref in sock_reserve_memory")
only checked sk_has_account(sk), which is true for both TCP and UDP
sockets.
However, SO_RESERVE_MEM and sk_unused_reserved_mem() are currently only
supported by TCP:
- On UDP sockets, sk->sk_forward_alloc is protected by
sk->sk_receive_queue.lock, whereas sock_reserve_memory() and
sock_release_reserved_memory() only acquire lock_sock(sk). Concurrent
UDP packet reception/release and setsockopt(SO_RESERVE_MEM) corrupt
sk_forward_alloc and memcg accounting.
- udp_rmem_release() reclaims excess sk_forward_alloc without
accounting for sk_unused_reserved_mem(sk).
Restrict sock_reserve_memory() to TCP sockets (sk_is_tcp(sk)) for now.
Supporting SO_RESERVE_MEM for UDP (acquiring sk_receive_queue.lock and
honoring sk_unused_reserved_mem() in udp_rmem_release()) can be done in
a future net-next series if needed.
In addition, reject val > SZ_1G with -EINVAL in
sk_setsockopt(SO_RESERVE_MEM). Without an upper bound, values near
INT_MAX cause sk_mem_pages(delta) and (pages << PAGE_SHIFT) to overflow
32-bit signed int, corrupting sk->sk_forward_alloc and
sk->sk_reserved_mem. Using a page-aligned cap (SZ_1G) ensures that the
page-rounded sk->sk_reserved_mem reported by getsockopt(SO_RESERVE_MEM)
can always be passed back to setsockopt(SO_RESERVE_MEM). |
| In Eclipse Vert.x versions [4.0.0, 4.5.34] or [5.0.0,5.0.12] or [5.1.0,5.1.9] or [5.2.0, 5.2.0], the uniqueItems keyword validation uses an O(n²) pairwise comparison loop with no short-circuit or size limit. A remote unauthenticated attacker can submit a moderately-sized JSON array that consumes disproportionate CPU time, leading to denial of service.
The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-json-schema.
The following Vert.x modules depend on vertx-json-schema and are also affected:
io.vertx:vertx-web-openapi-router io.vertx:vertx-web-validation io.vertx:vertx-openapi |
