| CVE-2026-56289 | 1 Gnu | 1 Patch | 2026-07-09 | 5.5 Medium |
| GNU patch is vulnerable to a denial of service (DoS) due to improper validation of hunk (single block of changes in diff) line offsets in unified-diff input. A specially crafted patch can specify an extremely large line number, causing the application to enter an effectively infinite processing loop while attempting to locate the requested position. This results in excessive CPU consumption and prevents the process from completing. An attacker can trigger this behavior by supplying a malicious patch file, causing the utility to become unresponsive and require manual termination. This issue has been fixed in the commit faba04ef4f2b410257f76c1b9dc85e350929c4b9 | ||||
| CVE-2026-59927 | 2 Lepture, Mistune Project | 2 Mistune, Mistune | 2026-07-09 | 5.3 Medium |
| Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, the Include directive in src/mistune/directives/include.py detects only direct self-includes and not indirect cycles, allowing two markdown files that include each other to trigger unbounded recursion, raise RecursionError, and crash the rendering request. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59879 | 1 Immutable-js | 2 Immutable, Immutable-js | 2026-07-08 | 7.5 High |
| Immutable.js provides many Persistent Immutable data structures. Prior to 4.3.9 and 5.1.8, List#set, List#setSize, List#setIn, List#updateIn, and the functional set, setIn, and updateIn mishandle an index or size in the range 2 ** 30 to 2 ** 31 in setListBounds in src/List.js, causing an empty List to enter an uncatchable infinite loop, a populated List to allocate without bound until process abort, or setSize to silently wrap large values. This issue is fixed in versions 4.3.9 and 5.1.8. | ||||
| CVE-2026-6684 | 2 Chan, Elm-chan | 2 Fatfs, Fatfs | 2026-07-06 | 4.6 Medium |
| FatFs prior to R0.16 that use GPT scanning with 'FF_LBA64 = 1' contains an issue where an unbounded loop count derived from GPT header field GPTH_PtNum, enabling extremely long or effectively infinite mount-time scans. This maps to CWE-835 (Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition). Estimated CVSS v3.1 vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H (4.6, Medium). The estimated CISA SSVC vectors are Exploitation: PoC, Technical Impact: Partial. | ||||
| CVE-2026-11352 | 2 Curl, Haxx | 2 Curl, Curl | 2026-07-06 | 7.5 High |
| An issue in curl’s QUIC UDP receive function allows a malicious HTTP/3 server to trigger a remote denial of service against a curl or libcurl client. Because the helper function discards zero-length UDP datagrams before counting them toward the per-call packet budget, a connected QUIC peer can continuously stream empty datagrams to indefinitely stall the client. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14651 | 1 Connorskees | 1 Grass | 2026-07-06 | 3.3 Low |
| A vulnerability has been found in connorskees grass up to 0.13.4. The impacted element is the function grass_compiler::selector::extend/grass_compiler::evaluate::visitor. The manipulation leads to denial of service. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project maintainer explains: "DoS vulnerabilities are generally fine in Sass compilers -- they are trivially possible with recursive functions, infinite loops, nested mixins, etc. The description here is wrong. Compile time is not expected to be linear relative to the input, and the @extend algorithm is definitionally exponential." | ||||
| CVE-2026-53336 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmem: layouts: onie-tlv: fix hang on unknown types The EEPROM on my board has a vendor specific entry of type 0x41. When stumbling upon that, this driver hangs in an endless loop. Fix it by keep incrementing the offset on unknown entries, so the loop will eventually stop. | ||||
| CVE-2026-55595 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2026-07-02 | 4.7 Medium |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26, when providing invalid arguments to the connected-components option an infinite loop will occur. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26. | ||||
| CVE-2023-2593 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-06-29 | 5.9 Medium |
| A flaw exists within the Linux kernel's handling of new TCP connections. The issue results from the lack of memory release after its effective lifetime. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a denial of service condition on the system. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53312 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-27 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/riscv: Remove overflows on the invalidation path Since RISC-V supports a sign extended page table it should support a gather->end of ULONG_MAX, but if this happens it will infinite loop because of the overflow. Also avoid overflow computing the length by moving the +1 to the other side of the < | ||||
| CVE-2026-4598 | 1 Kjur | 1 Jsrsasign | 2026-06-25 | 7.5 High |
| Versions of the package jsrsasign before 11.1.1 are vulnerable to Infinite loop via the bnModInverse function in ext/jsbn2.js when the BigInteger.modInverse implementation receives zero or negative inputs, allowing an attacker to hang the process permanently by supplying such crafted values (e.g., modInverse(0, m) or modInverse(-1, m)). | ||||
| CVE-2026-52921 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-25 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: stop hash:* range iteration at end The following hash set variants: hash:ip,mark hash:ip,port hash:ip,port,ip hash:ip,port, net iterate IPv4 ranges with a 32-bit iterator. The iterator must stop once the last address in the requested range has been processed. Advancing it once more can move the traversal state past the end of the request, so a later retry may continue from an unintended position. Handle the iterator increment explicitly at the end of the loop and stop once the upper bound has been processed. This keeps the existing retry behaviour intact for valid ranges while preventing traversal from continuing past the original boundary. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71319 | 3 Image-size, Image Sizes Project, Redhat | 6 Image-size, Image Sizes, Discovery and 3 more | 2026-06-23 | 7.5 High |
| image-size through 2.0.2 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows remote attackers to permanently block the Node.js event loop by supplying a specially crafted image buffer with a zero-valued size field in a recognized box-type. Attackers can trigger an infinite loop in the JXL or HEIF image parsers by providing a crafted image containing a box with a size of zero, causing the offset to never advance and permanently hanging the application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-50171 | 1 Angular | 1 Angular | 2026-06-23 | 6.1 Medium |
| Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23, a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the @angular/common package of Angular. The formatNumber function, which is also utilized by DecimalPipe, PercentPipe, and CurrencyPipe, does not properly validate the upper bounds of the digitsInfo parameter. Specifically, the minimum and maximum fraction digits parsed from the digitsInfo string (e.g., 1.2-4) are converted to integers and used without limits. When parsing a maliciously crafted digitsInfo string with excessively large fraction digit values (e.g., 1.200000000-200000000), the internal roundNumber function attempts to pad the digits array to match the requested fraction size. This results in an unbounded loop that repeatedly pushes elements into an array. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48986 | 1 Mcdope | 1 Pam Usb | 2026-06-22 | 4.7 Medium |
| pam_usb provides hardware authentication for Linux using removable media. In pam_usb 0.9.1 and earlier, usb_get_process_parent_id() can cause an infinite loop DoS because it does not initialize *ppid on failure. In pusb_local_login(), the same variable is reused as input and output in a process-tree while loop; if /proc/<pid>/stat cannot be read (for example, when an ancestor process exits during authentication), the PID is not updated and the loop does not terminate. This hangs the authenticating process (such as sudo, sshd, or login) until it is forcibly terminated. This issue has been fixed in version 0.9.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46314 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-19 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/v3d: Reject empty multisync extension to prevent infinite loop v3d_get_extensions() walks a userspace-provided singly-linked list of ioctl extensions without any bound on the chain length. A local user can craft a self-referential extension (ext->next == &ext) with zero in_sync_count and out_sync_count, which bypasses the existing duplicate- extension guard: if (se->in_sync_count || se->out_sync_count) return -EINVAL; The guard never fires because v3d_get_multisync_post_deps() returns immediately when count is zero, leaving both fields at zero on every iteration. The result is an infinite loop in kernel context, blocking the calling thread and pegging a CPU core indefinitely. Fix this by rejecting a multisync extension where both in_sync_count and out_sync_count are zero in v3d_get_multisync_submit_deps(). An empty multisync carries no synchronization information and serves no useful purpose, so returning -EINVAL for such an extension is the correct defense against this attack vector. | ||||
| CVE-2026-55199 | 1 Libssh2 | 1 Libssh2 | 2026-06-18 | 5.9 Medium |
| libssh2 through 1.11.1, fixed in commit 1762685, contains a pre-authentication denial of service vulnerability in the SSH_MSG_EXT_INFO handler in src/packet.c that allows a malicious SSH server to cause a client CPU exhaustion loop by sending a crafted extension count value. A malicious server can set nr_extensions to 0xFFFFFFFF during key exchange, causing the client to spin in a tight CPU loop for over 60 seconds because return values from _libssh2_get_string() are unchecked and the session timeout does not apply to CPU-bound loops. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45953 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-16 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid5: fix IO hang with degraded array with llbitmap When llbitmap bit state is still unwritten, any new write should force rcw, as bitmap_ops->blocks_synced() is checked in handle_stripe_dirtying(). However, later the same check is missing in need_this_block(), causing stripe to deadloop during handling because handle_stripe() will decide to go to handle_stripe_fill(), meanwhile need_this_block() always return 0 and nothing is handled. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48733 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2026-06-11 | 4.7 Medium |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-49 and 7.1.2-24, an infinite loop in the subimage-search operation can happen when using a crafted image. This issue has been patched in versions 6.9.13-49 and 7.1.2-24. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46521 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2026-06-11 | 5.5 Medium |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-48 and 7.1.2-23, when using LZMA compression in the MIFF encoder an out of bounds write can occur due to a missing check. This issue has been patched in versions 6.9.13-48 and 7.1.2-23. | ||||
